Here is an image of Natalie, an art student. She had a natural beauty that was easy to capture. We went to a small park and one of her friends held a reflector to bounce some light on Natalie.

Britney
Here is another example of finding gorgeous light and not wasting time with lights or reflectors. Of course, Britney is gorgeous and so is her hair and makeup. At the same time, I don’t want to waste her time or mine so placing her in the right light and finding a good pose is all it takes!
This was taken at the Heritage Museum of Orange County which is in Santa Ana, California.
Bridal Portrait
Here is a bridal portrait taken at Pasadena City Hall. The bride is beautiful, no doubt. But what I would like to point out is how finding the right location for a shot is the most critical choice. Here the light is so beautiful I didn’t need to place any lights or use a flash on-camera for fill light either. And the background is nice and simple, too, making for a great portrait.
Cosplayer
Cosplay is a contraction of costume player. There are cosplayers of many types such as those who attend the Renaissance Faires and play characters from that time period. This cosplayer is a fan of Anime, a cultural phenomenon that arose from Japanese animation but now extends far beyond Japan.

Samantha
Down the block from my studio there is a white picket fence that, at the right time of day, bounces beautiful light against this brick wall. Here Samantha looks amazing and we weren’t distracted by setting up lights and waiting for them to recycle. We didn’t need an assistant either. Simplicity is always best!

This is the beautiful Ty’kea Trichelle who I photographed backstage at a showing of new designs by Adolfo Sanchez Fashions
Nickii Jean
This is an image of Nickii Jean, a beautiful model, and the woman behind Nickii Jean magazine. We shot in front of the Jesus Wall a studio at The Brewery, an artist’s colony on the east side of downtown LA.
